Kogi APC Blasts NEC Over Replacement Of National, Zonal Officers

  By: Adeboye Ado The Kogi State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has dissociated itself from news making the rounds that the National Working Committee of the party has  replaced the former Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the party as well as the former Zonal Organising Secretary.  The two party Chieftains resigned recently.  However, the State APC Chairman, Abdullahi Bello in a statement said he was surprised that the NEC Committee came up with strange names which didn't pass through the state chapter.  The statement partly read, “Consequent upon the resignation of the two officers from the party, the Kogi State All Progressives Congress under the leadership of the Governor, His Excellency Alh. NSCDC Bursts Trafficking, Prostitution Syndicate In Kwara, Rescues 6

Two suspected  child traffickers in the Oko-Olowo community area of Ilorin, the Kwara state capital have been arrested by the Kwara State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC). The suspect, Iyabo Abdulrafiu, a hotel owner and one other, the command said, are a syndicate that lured their victims into prostitution. The public relations officer of the command, Olasunkanmi Ayeni, disclosed this while briefing journalists. He disclosed that one of the underage trafficked victims, name withheld, 17, escaped from the hotel where she was lured into prostitution and reported their activities to the  command. Ayeni said the two suspects operating in Iyabo’a guest house in Oko-Olowo area of Ilorin, said six underage girls were rescued following a tip off during an operation. Court Indicts Gtex Homes Ltd In Abuja Over Alleged Fraud

A High court in Abuja has Indicted Gtext Homes Limited, a real estate property company based in Lagos and Abuja Nigeria over alleged fraud. One of the victims writes a high court to shut down the company. The move comes after Gtex Homes allegedly failed to comply with an earlier Abuja High Court judgment ordering them to pay $18,000, representing a 2.5% commission on a successful facilitated sale of two properties in Dubai. However, despite numerous attempts and demand notices to resolve the matter amicably, the company has allegedly refused to comply with the Abuja High Court judgment, prompting Mr Nwankwo to seek further legal recourse to close down Gtex Homes due to insolvency.
