2023: Multiple Women Groups endorse Yahaya Bello for President

 Governor Bello to announce decision soon Ahead of the 2023 presidential election, the Kogi State governor, Yahaya Bello has continued to receive more endorsements from different groups and associations in the country. The National Coalition for Women Support Group on Thursday called on the governor of Kogi State to run for the presidential election, noting that he has performed very well as governor of the Confluence State. The leader of the group and the National Women Leader of APC support groups, Hon Mariam Yunusa, stated that governor Yahaya Bello has done well in Kogi especially in the areas of security, women and youths inclusiveness in governance, infrastructure and human capital development. Vice President of the Republic of Liberia, Dr. Jewel Taylor, has stated that the leadership style of the Kogi State governor, Yahaya Bello, is worthy of emulation, citing the inclusion of women in governance and other great exploits. The Liberian Vice President, who was hosted to a dinner by female appointees of Governor Bello’s cabinet before attending the All Progressive Congress's National Women Progressive Congress, said the Governor has surpassed the 35% Gender Equality Beijing Affirmative Action.   The Governor of Kogi state, Yahaya Bello, has charged the people of the state to continue to live in peace while they do not relent in sharing credible intelligence information with security agencies. The unflinching support by the residents is helping in eradicating crimes in the state, Governor Bello said. Bello gave this charge at the 8-day Fidau prayers in memory of Hajia Hajarah Momoh, the late mother of the state’s Accountant General, Jibrin Momoh. Governor Bello orders immediate removal of roadblocks mounted by illegal tax collectors

  Kogi state Governor, Yahaya Bello, has ordered that roadblocks within the state, where illegal taxes are collected, should be removed with immediate effect. The Governor, who was on a trip to Okene, Kogi State, on Thursday morning, ran into a long Tran into traffic, alighted from his car and ordered one of his security aides to supervise the removal of the roadblock in the area after interactions with the illegal tax collectors. Governor Bello said the illegal roadblocks have caused so much hardship to the road users especially the transporters. "The activities of the illegal tax collectors on the road are a serious source of frustration to taxi drivers and drivers of articulated vehicles because of the high illegal charges," he lamented.
