We owe our peace to you" — Bello commends Kogi residents for cooperating with security agencies

The Governor of Kogi state, Yahaya Bello, has charged the people of the state to continue to live in peace while they do not relent in sharing credible intelligence information with security agencies.

The unflinching support by the residents is helping in eradicating crimes in the state, Governor Bello said.

Bello gave this charge at the 8-day Fidau prayers in memory of Hajia Hajarah Momoh, the late mother of the state’s Accountant General, Jibrin Momoh.

The Governor said his administration will continue to protect individuals who give vital intelligence information to the security agencies about the activities of criminal elements in their domain.

He said the achievements and peace recorded under his administration were due to the fact that the state was peaceful, noting that there will be no meaningful development where there is no peace.

He said he will continue to prioritise the safety and well-being of the people of Kogi state and their genuine sources of livelihoods.

The Governor earlier in his address, condoled with Momoh’s family while describing Hajia Hajarah as a virtuous, God fearing woman, who catered for his biological children and others with the same measure of love and compassion.

He also urged the children and other loved ones to take solace in the fact that Hajia Hajarah lived a fulfilled life while serving God and humanity.
