The Social Democratic Party (SDP) Presidential Campaign Council Director General, Comrade Solomon Dalung has said that all attempts by the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, to intimidate its Presidential Candidate in the 2023 general elections, Prince Adebayo would be fully resisted

Dalung further warned that the APC should not in its desperation, truncate the current democratic transition in the country, urging Nigerians to elect credible candidates in 2023 and stressed that the SDP boasts of such, that can bring back prosperity and return the country to its lost glory.

Speaking further, Dalung expressed reservations over some of the issues that are plaguing campaigns ahead of the 2023 polls.

“It calls to question, the violent level that characterised the campaigns,” he added.

He decried the flagrant use of government paraphernalia for campaign for the APC candidates, therefore, narrowing the space of other contenders.

The former minister said that the use of government aircraft for campaign of the APC Presidential candidate is an abuse of power, adding that if such assets are provided for one candidate, same treatment should be accorded others.

He charged Presidential candidates of all political parties to embrace issue based campaigns, focusing on issues like security, poverty and those that are not in power should tell Nigerians what they will do.

On SDP campaign trend, he explained that the party has been moving from one place to another, responsibly canvassing for votes even as he regretted being part of those that brought the APC administration to power in 2015.
